DVD recordable and DVD rewritable are optical disc recording technologies.
Both terms describe DVD optical discs that can be written to by a DVD recorder, whereas only 'rewritable' discs are able to erase and rewrite data.
Wondering why it is saying BD-ROM when it is not one from last pic in last post of yours and specs found.
End of life product, was thinking firmware update, but if came with system said to go to manufacturer's site, do it wrong could make more issues. Problems can arise when your hardware device is too old or not supported any longer.
Data is written ('burned') to the disc by a laser, rather than the data being 'pressed' onto the disc during manufacture, like a DVD-ROM.
Pressing is used in mass production, primarily for the distribution of home video.
And having already burned data to them, you can't format it for UDF reading.
Any formatting at this point would surely destroy the TOC and make reading your pictures impossible without third party software.DVD-R is a recordable disc providing 4.7GB capacity120 minutes of DVDAZO recording layer Highest Level of recording stability Superior Archival life Can be written on with a CD/DVD marker pen.
